With sorority recruitment or rush around the corner there is a high demand for cute sorority rush outfits!
Throughout sorority recruitment most PNM’s (potential new members) strive to look their best. This is because they want to feel comfortable in their outfit choices so their personality can shine through!
So let’s help you look your best in some sorority rush outfits so you can go through recruitment with peace of mind.
As a PNM you already have so much on your mind… you don’t want your outfit to hold you back.
Now if you’re reading this and wondering why you should go through recruitment to join a sorority in the first place check out my blog post here
In this blog I have separated my favorite trendy sorority rush outfits into the common rounds that you will have in a Panhellenic recruitment.
Open House: Round 1
This round is the first round of sorority recruitment where the PNMs meet their Rho Alpha and watch videos from each sorority.
The dress code is casual where PNMs can wear some cute athleisure with some comfy shoes if they weren’t already assigned a rush shirt!
You’ll be doing a lot of sitting in the beginning and touring at the end so you’ll want to be comfy.
Here are some cute sorority rush outfits that I would wear for this round if I was going through recruitment again:
Philanthropy: Round 2
In the philanthropy round of recruitment the PNMs will visit each house (granted they were invited back) to discuss the philanthropy of each sorority.
It can last a few days depending on how many sororities your campus has.
In this round PNMs will have brief conversations about the chapter with the active members. During this round the sisters are getting to know why the PNMs are there for recruitment, as well as educate them on their philanthropy.
PNMs may participate in activities related to the chapter’s philanthropy as well as learn how the sorority gives back.
Some girls may even share personal stories based on their connection to the philanthropy.
Most girls tend to opt for a more cute and conservative look for this round.
I recommend outfits that look like this:
You can even add some statement accessories such as these:
Sisterhood: Round 3
The sisterhood round of recruitment allows for more in depth conversations between the PNMs and active members.
There is a focus on the sorority’s traditions and sisterhood bond. This is where a lot of meaningful conversations will be held.
For this round you’ll want to dress in something you would wear to church. I recommend more sophisticated sorority rush dresses like these:
- The Ultimate Artsy Girl Gift Guide: 30 Creative Must-Have Gifts She’ll Absolutely Love
- Flawless Clean Girl Gift Guide: Luxurious Holiday Must-Haves She’ll Adore
- Show-Stopping Winter Formal Dresses for a Perfect Night Out
- Stylish & Sexy College Going Out Outfits That Turn Heads
- Cozy Up with These Irresistible Must-Read Books This Fall
- Minimalist Clean Girl Fall Dorm Room Decorations
- The Ultimate College Halloween Movie Marathon: Haunting Thrillers and Chillers for a Spooktacular October
Preference: Round 4
During the preference round of recruitment, the sorority is trying to convince the PNM on why they should be their sister.
The conversations will be more intimate and even include some rituals that showcase the sororities values.
Some of your best recruitment conversations will occur during this round.
You’ll definitely want to dress more serious. Think cocktail dresses.
For this round I recommend more formal dresses like these:
Bid Day: Home!!
This round does not require any particular sorority rush outfits!
Just throw on a t-shirt and shorts/skirt and open your bid to run to your new home!
Bid day is by far the BEST day of sorority recruitment so dress casual and make sure your phone is charged!
And don’t worry because you’ll get a shirt to wear from your new home once you reach them. 🙂
Things to Remember:
During sorority recruitment you want to feel your best.
My motto is look good feel good, so wear what makes you comfortable.
You don’t have to have the same sorority rush outfits as everyone else so feel free to add some fun colors, accessories, and hairstyles to let your personality shine through!
As always, you can talk with your Rho Alpha or Recruitment Counselor about the dress code if you are unsure!
Happy rushing 😉
